Salvaging in high security system belts is nearly worthless. Small wrecks don't have a good rate when it comes to dropping highly valuable salvageable parts. But in high level missions with large wrecks, it's worth it.

My D-Link DI-524 rev C used to cause the error somehow. It was a somewhat old router (no longer supported) and since switching to a Linksys WRT160N I never get the socket error anymore.
